Sacraments

By Church law, Baptism and Marriage normally take place at one's own parish. Those who wish to have a child baptized or to be married at Our Lady of Fatima must be registered parishioners who have attended Mass here regularly for at least six months. Exceptions are at the pastor's discretion.

Baptism

Children should be baptized within one month of birth, ideally sooner. Please arrange a time with the pastor. Adults interested in becoming Catholic should speak with the pastor.

Marriage

At least one party must be a parishioner. The couple should contact the pastor at least six months before the hoped-for date. No date can be set until canonical approval is granted.

Confirmation

Given by an SSPX bishop every few years.

Holy Communion and Confession

Open to all Catholics in good standing. Communion is given on the tongue only, and only to those properly disposed in behavior and dress. Those with celiac disease can be accommodated; please speak with the pastor before Mass.

Sick Calls and Emergencies

If someone is gravely ill or in danger of death, call the pastor or chapel coordinator right away. Don't wait! For other visits to the sick or homebound, contact the pastor.

Blessing of Religious Articles

Place items to be blessed on the table beside the confessional in the parish hall. They are usually blessed on Sunday before Mass. Only items with a blessing in the Roman Ritual can be blessed.
